Just a camping guy

I went back to this place again this weekend. The sounds of nature surprised me even more this time. This place is in San Jose on the way to Mt Hamilton.

I got a case of poison oak on my face from last week's trip and was feeling sort of bad but decided to go out anyway. I am glad I did. Hiked about 8 miles on Saturday. It rained on Friday and Saturday nights.

I have been fanning the fire with my shovel and saw some ad in a magazine about a tool that pumps air into the fire. I decided to use my air pump and came up with great results.

The format of my blog will probably change in the next few weeks as some other sites have expressed an interest in linking to my blog. Maybe I am on my way to get a paying gig to go out camping.

I finally used my tripod this weekend for the moon pictures. I hope to use it more for the night pictures.

Went back to this place again after almost a year. I don't think I will go back again unless it is the middle of summer. It was cold, wet, no sun, and the rangers are a little bit anal.

There was some good hiking trails and a neat waterfall that I tried to get some pictures of but my lens kept fogging up.

As always there was good food and drink. The racoons tried to raid my roof and the wood bag.

My burb is back up and running. The cat convertor started plugging up. Much cheaper than a new tranny but still puts some new toys on the back shelf for awhile.

Well on to the pictures. I do hope you enjoy them. Next week will be somewhere in the sun.
