Talbot Campground 10/08/06

The place to be this weekend was 39 11.241' N 120 22.452' W otherwise known as Talbot Campground. It is in the Tahoe National Forest. It had rained earlier and the overnight temps dropped into the 30's.

There are quite a few hiking trails up there and I got in about 10 miles or so. The fall colors are showing up now and the whole area is very scenic. I bet it even looks better in the spring. I figure I only have a few more weeks to hit the higher elevations before the first snow.

I guess we got some raccoons drunk as they tore into a box of wine. Had everything else up. Not really sure how the rail car ended up there either. I am thinking it probably derailed and the spring snow melt brought it down the river.

I even took a dip in the river and was that water cold. Those pictures are little too racy to post.

Well on to the pictures.

Thanks again for stopping by.
