Just a camping guy

Well I tried to go up in the mountains this weekend. I got up there and was following my diections pretty good until a ranger told me another way to go. Bad idea. After driving for a few hours I went to the fire station and asked for directions. What they told me didn't jibe with what was on my map but I had found roads that weren't on my map. Another bad idea. After driving around for another few hours I went around to hit the campground from the back side. I made a wrong turn and sort of knew it after a few miles but was hoping to find a good place along the river and the map said there was a campground on the way.

It was a day use area and by then it was dark so I just drove to Jackson and regrouped as to where I was going to go. I chose Lake Amador. It was an okay place and I think I would like it better in the spring or fall when it isn't so hot.

I know where the other place is now so I will be in the mountains next weekend. Enjoy the pictures.
