Boards Crossing 06/04/06

38 18.295 N 120 14.210 W was the spot this weekend. Awesome country. My pictures this week dont do justice to the area. I need to see about getting that wide angle lens.

I have already started planning some more trips to the area before it snows again and shuts the place down until next summer. The 2 rangers that I met were great. The first one on Friday said she just started working that district and the guy on Saturday (Derek?) was a wealth of knowledge and told me about many spots off the map. I think that there is a problem with communication between maintenance and the rangers. They both told me that there were no restrooms. Derek? Said they had been grown over for about 2 years and not serviced. Well I decided to see how overgrown they were before I dug a hole. The area was trimmed of tall grass and had been stocked with TP. I was over-joyed. LOL

This campground is said to be one of the oldest campgrounds in the Western U.S. It has nice large campsites and plenty of room from your neighbors. It looks like all of the campsites have at least one level area to pitch a tent. The ride down there is a little rough and I wouldnt take a low slung car but maybe they havent taken the grader down there yet.

Well on to the pictures. Like I said earlier it doesnt do the place justice. The first couple of pictures are my new bedroom and utility shed.

Thanks again for stopping by.
