Well I went camping again this weekend. I went to Auburn SRA and the Ruck-A-Chucky Campground. There was 5 campsites, no water, and what they call dry toilets. More like sit your butt on a cold piece of steel. The road down there wasn't too bad but I wouldn't do it in a car.
Well after driving down there I came up to this sign and backed up and this is where I made camp.
Here is my trusty tent picture.
And a peek inside my lair. I brought my 19 1/2" high queen size airbed. I should have brought this thing before because it sure made the sleeping nice.
As I walked around I saw this and said WTF or It's a CA thing. Let me remind you this is in the middle of nowhere.
The next 3 pictures are of the Middle fork of the American River
My campsite was about in the middle of this picture.
This was the view when I turned my head to the right.
Here is a picture of the fire.
And yes the next 2 are of me. I finally stooped to tourist levels and asked this lovely girl to take my picture next to my tent because by now everyone knows my tent. While she is taking the pictures this guy comes walking by and asks if we want our picture taken together. I only see a couple of people the whole weekend and they all happen to be in the matter of a few minutes.
Well I hope everyone else had a great weekend and thanks for taking the time to look at this spot.
